FAQs

Q. How much does it cost to enter Cuero’s Christmas in the Park?
A. Entrance is always free. Donations are gratefully accepted at the end of the driving tour at Santa’s House and help our event grow and improve.

Q. When do you open/close?
A. Beginning the Monday before Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, we are open nightly from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, including holidays.

Q. Are you open on holidays?
A. Yes, we are open at our regular hours, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Q. Are you open even when it’s raining?
A. Yes, we are open even in rainy (and, occasionally, snowy!) weather. In the event of severe weather or other reason that may cause us to close, we will post an announcement on our website and on social media as soon as possible to make our visitors aware.

Q. Are visitors allowed to ride bicycles or walk through the park?
A. As Cuero’s Christmas in the Park is a driving tour, for safety reasons, we ask visitors to remain in their vehicles at all times while touring the Park. We have signs clearly posted and security on hand during the event’s operating hours to promote compliance of these safety measures and to promote traffic flow. Biking in the park during event operating hours is prohibited.

Q. How long does it typically take to drive through the park?
A. As the amount of traffic varies on different nights, so does the drive time, but the average time is about 30-45 minutes. Wait time to enter the park also varies.

Q. Do you have horse-drawn carriage rides through the park?
A. Horse-drawn carriage rides were a feature at our event many years ago, but were discontinued and there are no plans to re-introduce them in the future.

Q. Do you accommodate guided tours and tour buses?
A. Yes, we do. Please contact us, to make special arrangements for guided tours and tour buses.

Q. What are the height limitations for tall vehicles, such as RVs and buses?
A. As mentioned in the previous Q&A, we easily accommodate large charter buses. The lowest features under which vehicles pass are our two Candy Cane Arches, which are 22’ wide by 17’ high. As long as your vehicle is well under 17 feet, you should have no difficulties navigating the driving tour through the park.

Q. How do I purchase a new scene?
A. We take orders for new scenes following the conclusion of the holiday season, generally between mid-January and the beginning of March each year, when we receive the greatest discounts from the vendors. To order a scene, or for more information, please contact Samantha Bayfus at the Cuero Development Corporation at (361) 275-8178 or ssolis@cityofcuero.com.
