Congratulations to our own Samantha Bayfus, Administrative Assistant for the Cuero Development Corporation, and Secretary for the December Events Committee which organizes Cuero’s Christmas in the Park! Today, she was honored with the City of Cuero 2020 Newton Rath Employee of the Year Award! City Manager Raymie Zella (right) is seen presenting Samantha with her plaque “in appreciation for loyalty, integrity and commitment shown to the City of Cuero” and acknowledging her “many hours of diligent service.”

In his nomination of Samantha for the award, Cuero Development Corporation Executive Director Bobby Seiferman said, “Samantha has been a loyal long time employee of the city and the CDC. She has a vast knowledge of the city’s purchasing and accounting processes. She also has a deep quantitative and qualitative knowledge of the city’s various stakeholders and is very diligent in her preparations to keep the December Events Committee, CDC Executive Director and the CDC Board of Directors informed. She exhibits a strong working knowledge of economic development concepts in furthering the business interest of Cuero’s economy. She is very professional in her interactions with staff, the public and CDC clients, and is an outstanding representative of the city personnel at community functions and events.”

This award is well-deserved and we couldn’t be more proud of Samantha and thankful to have her on our team!
