As the display comes into its 20th year, the Cuero Development Corporation (CDC) and the December Events Committee, an ad hoc committee of the CDC works to up-keep the free self-guided driving tour by incorporating new scenes and displays yearly, along with ensuring the longevity of the lighted displays and scenes by replacing the bulbs with LED lights in 2018.

With about a dozen new scenes this year, the CDC is continuously working to capture the eyes of families by changing and adding displays.
